Notte di stelle a Los Angeles dove al Microsoft Theater si è svolta la cerimonia di assegnazione degli Emmy Awards, i premi più prestigiosi della televisione americana.
Un’edizione numero 71 ricca di sorprese e di assegnazioni molto eterogenee questa notte al teatro losangelino. Grande curiosità alla vigilia per Game of Thrones, reduce da un’ultima stagione a tratti disastrosa che, a fronte delle 32 nomination, ha portato a casa solo 2 premi, seppur molto ambiti. Si tratta di quello per la Miglior Serie Drama e per il Miglior Attore Non Protagonista a Peter Dinklage, riconoscimento ottenuto per la quarta volta. Giusti i riconoscimenti per la miniserie Chernobyl e per le serie comedy Fleabag e The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel. Quanto alle emittenti, in questa edizione degli Emmy Awards a imporsi è stata soprattutto HBO che su 137 candidature ha acciuffato 34 premi, seguita da due piattaforme streaming. Netflix e Prime Video hanno, infatti, portato a casa rispettivamente 27 e 15 statuette.
